Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to. a quilted disposable diaper (10) and a quilted sanitary napkin and a method for producing the same. The facing (13) or cover material contains a thermoplastic component either in the fiber or the fiber bonding agent. The facing or cover (13) is heat embossed onto the absorbent batt in a predetermined pattern resulting in the facing or covering adhering to the densified regions (14) making a "quilted" effect.
