Television camera colour correction circuit for improved image perception
Abstract
The correction consists of correcting the overall luminance while retaining the original chromaticity of the image analyzed. For this, the device according to the invention comprises: a correction circuit (5) receiving color information Ve1, Ve2 and Ve3, and delivering corrected color information, a matrixing circuit (18) supplying the global luminance signal Ve, and a control circuit (6) calculating transfer parameters defining the transfer function F which transforms the signal Ve into a signal F (Ve) covering the scale of the luminances according to an equipartition to satisfy optimal vision conditions. The control circuit (6) generates a value signal <IMAGE> and supplies it to the correction circuit (5). The latter provides color information corresponding respectively to the products <IMAGE> Application to television production centers.
