Abstract

Abstract Adjustable diameter pulley, particularly suitable for the belt tension adjustment in belt transmission system such as those used in serial printers, comprises a central core (100), constituted by a tapered portion (100 A) and by a threaded cylindrical portion (100 B), and a plastic ring (101) having external cylindrical surface and a central tapered opening. The opening receives the conical portion (100A) of the core (100) and is provided with deep slits (101 A, 101 B, 101 C, 101 P .......) which allow its expansion. A second ring (104), screwed on the cylindrical portion (100 B) of the core (100), inserts more or less deeply the core (100) into the plastic ring (101) which is subjected to a larger or smaller expansion.

1) Adjustable diameter pulley for the adjustment of the belt tension in belt transmission systems characterized by that it comprises: - a plastic ring having a central tapered opening, an external cylindrical surface and two parallel sides, said ring having further a plurality of slits extending alternately from one of said sides to the inside of said ring through the whole ring thickness included between said central conical opening and said external cylindrical surface, - a core provided with a tapered portion inserted in said central tapered opening and with a threaded cylindrical portion protruding outside said central tapered opening from the side of lesser diameter of said opening, and - means for the variable axial positioning of said ring on said core, said means being screwed on said threaded cylindrical portion and acting on a side of said ring.
