Abstract

A self-propelled inner pipe manipulator (M) for the remote-controlled transport of test equipment and tools (K1) along predetermined feed paths through the inside of the pipe (R '), in particular also along curved and vertical pipe sections, preferably for pipelines of nuclear power plants, is an at least two-part walking unit (m0) executed. This consists of a walking body (m1) and a walking body (m2). Both bodies are articulated to one another via at least one gimbal-like joint (g1, g2) and are each provided with clamping devices (10) for clamping the bodies to the inner circumference of the tube. At least one of the two bodies (m1, m2) is provided with drive means (C, C1, C2) for the tubular axial movement of the walking body (m1) relative to the walking counter body (m2) when the clamping device (10) of the walking body (m1) is extended and that of the Counter body (m2) is retracted and vice versa. The walking body and counter body (m1, m2) are equipped on their outer circumference with guide elements (9) for sliding or rolling locomotion on the inner circumference of the pipe. The walking body (m1) is the rear body, seen in the direction of entry, to which the flexible strand (3) of the supply lines is led from a line storage device. The walking counter body (m2) is the front body, seen in the direction of travel, on which a manipulator head (K1) equipped with the test device and / or the tools (TV, 32) is mounted.
