Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 95 words
Process for producing objects made of plastics based on acrylic and/or methacrylic resin, the surface of which comprises zones of different colours, in the course of the conventional polymerisation of the acrylic and/or methacrylic resins, using shaping polymerisation chambers, characterised in that bead polymers are produced on the basis of acrylic and/or methacrylic resins, containing suitable dyestuffs for colour differentiation, the bead polymers containing dyestuffs are introduced into the polymerisable monomers and/or prepolymers, which are conventional per se, and polymerisation is completed in the shaping polymerisation chambers and the products are removed from the moulds.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 95 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 59 words
Process as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the conditions are selected so that the acrylic and/or methacrylic resin formed (without the bead polymers added) is within a molecular weight range (Mw) of from 2.10 5 to 5.10 6 or is slightly cross-linked and has a Vicat softening temperature (according to DIN 53460, Method B) of > 100°C.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 20 words
Process as claimed in claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the acrylic and/or methacrylic resin itself contains suitable dyestuffs.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 34 words
Process as claimed in claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the proportion of bead polymer in the total polymer is from 0.1 to 10% by weight, preferably from 0.3 to 3% by weight.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 30 words
Process as claimed in claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the molecular weight (Mw) of the beads is between 5.10 4 and 5.10 6 or the beads are cross-linked.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 30 words
Process as claimed in claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the beads have an average particle size of between 0.05 and 1.5 mm, preferably between 0.1 and 0.3 mm.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 28 words
Process as claimed in claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the bead polymer contains inorganic and/or organic pigments in concentrations of from 0.05 to 20% by weight.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 43 words
Process for preparing objects from plastics based on acrylic and/or methacrylic resin, the surface of which comprises differently coloured zones with a structured surface, characterised in that the objects produced using the process as claimed in claims 1 to 7 are thermally deformed.
