Abstract

A lighting device is proposed which is used in particular for illuminating the interior of the motor vehicle. The device designed as a dimmer comprises a power transistor 16 which establishes the connection between the interior lighting 13 lying on positive and the ground 15 when the switch 14 (door contact) is open. To control the power transistor 16, a control transistor 19 is provided, which is set via the resistors 23, 24. The control transistor 19 is, however, influenced by the charging electrolytic capacitor 26 in such a way that the power transistor 16 has a high resistance, i. H. is no longer live. By charging the electrolytic capacitor 26, the interior lighting 13 is therefore slowly extinguished. The speed of this process can be influenced by the resistor 23.
