Abstract
Abstract A mixing faucet with two cooperating valve plates (17,18) for controlling the throughflow quantity and/or mixing ratio of the liquids. For reducing the armature sound level at narrow control slots (25) between the two valve plates (17), (18) it is suggested that guiding members (24) are arranged at least in the area in front of the inlet openings (19,20) in the longitudinal direction of the flow passage duct, i.e. in the direction from the inlet openings towards the outlet opening, which guiding members cause the liquid or the liquids to flow laminarly through the flow passage duct.

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim
153 words
Device for sliding valves, particularly for mixing faucets of the kind comprising two valve plates (17,18), which are engaging each other, one of which valve plates (18) is fixed and provided with inlet openings (19,20) and one outlet opening (21), and the other one (17) being movable relative to the first one and provided with a flow passage duct (23) for adjusting the flow and/or the mixing of the liquids, characterized thereby that guiding members (24) are arranged at least in the area in front of the inlet openings (19,20) in the longitudinal direction of the flow passage duct (23), i.e. in the direction from the inlet openings (19,20) towards the outlet opening (21), which guiding members (24) consist of thin sheets extending over substantially the entire depth of the flow passage duct (23) and being adapted to cause the liquid or the liquids to flow laminarly through the mentioned flow passage duct.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
31 words
Device according to claim 1, characterized thereby that the sheets (24) have a considerably larger extension in the depth dimension of the flow passage duct (23) than their thickness and spacing.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
19 words
Device according to claims 1, or 2, characterized thereby that the sheets (24) are arranged parallel to each other.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
31 words
Device according to claims 1, or 2, characterized thereby that the sheets (24) are arranged to converge in a direction from the inlet openings (19, 20) towards the outlet opening (21).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
76 words
Device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized thereby that the sheets (24) partly are arranged to extend over the entire length of the flow passage duct (23), partly to the upper edge of the movable valve plate (17) in the area in front of the inlet openings (19, 20), and partly to a level somewhat below the upper edge of the movable valve plate (17) in front of the outlet opening (21).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
26 words
Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized thereby that the sheets (24) are integral with constitute one piece with the movable valve plate (17).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
34 words
Device according to any of the previous claims 1-5, characterized thereby that the sheets (24) are interconnected via a base plate (27) which has substantially the same shape as the flow passage duct (23).
