Abstract Translated from German Eine beliebige auf Textinhalte hin zu untersuchende Druckvorlage wird optoelektronisch durch ein Videosystem abgetastet; die gewonnenen Abtastwerte werden digitalisiert zeilenweise verarbeitet; mittels mehrerer Verfahrensschritte werden bei Vorliegen von Text für die Textzeilen isolierte, d. h. einander nicht berührende, Schwarzblöcke gebildet, deren Anfangs- und Endkoordinaten mit denen der Textzeilen übereinstimmen und listenmäßig erfaßt werden.
