Process for the determination of ligands or receptors by means of competition reaction, test kit for carrying out the process and its application

Abstract

Abstract This immunological process, in which a specifically binding receptor A and a conjugate are used, comprises the following steps: a) a marker receptor A conjugate is added to the sample as the conjugate and b) to bind the marker component of unbound marker receptor A conjugate, a specifically binding receptor is added to the sample, c) marker molecules are added to saturate free binding sites on receptor B, and d) the amount of unbound marker molecules is determined as the signal molecule. A test kit for carrying out the process according to the invention and its use are also described. The process permits particularly accurate and rapid determination of ligands and receptor molecules in a homogeneous manner.
