Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim
56 words
A method of imaging a body by nuclear magnetic resonance characterised in that volume scanning of a region of the body is achieved by scanning in a first planar slice of the region and scanning in at least one further planar slice of the region in the relaxation time for the scan of the first slice.
Claim 2
Independent Claim
56 words
A method of imaging a body by nuclear magnetic resonance characterised in that volume scanning of a region of the body is achieved by scanning in a first planar slice of the region and scanning in at least one further planar slice of the region in the relaxation time for the scan of the first slice.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
51 words
A method according to Claim 1 using data obtained by T 1 experiments wherein a series of x / 2 radio frequency pulses each with magnetic field gradients for selecting a different slice of the region are applied in turn between successive ones of a sequence of n radio frequency pulses.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
21 words
A method according to Claim 2 wherein slice selection is effected by controlling the frequency of the π / 2 pulses.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
36 words
A method according to Claim 2 wherein the slice selection field gradients include a phase correction magnetic field gradient pulse whose size is varied so as to resolve a scanned slice into a plurality of subslices.
