Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a method for transmitting digital signals over a path having a frequency transmission range the upper limit frequency of which corresponds to the maximum bit rate, and is characterised by the fact that, at the same time, digital signals having different bit rates are transmitted in such a manner that the upper part of the frequency transmission range is provided for the transmission of digital signals having a high bit rate and the lower part of the frequency transmission range is provided for those having a low bit rate.
