Abstract An endoscope provided with an ultrasonic diagnostic device comprising an insertion section (4) to be taken into the coeliac cavity of a human body, an ultrasonic transceiving window (7) and an observation window (18) set near the distal end (4b) of the insertion section. The observation window (18) provides a view in a direction perpendicular to the central transceiving direction.

(15) at a prescribed angle as measured from the circumferential direction of the distal end portion (4b) of the insertion section.
