Abstract 1. Process for image reproduction by grey tone recording on a recording carrier having an electrosensitive covering, in particular e metallised paper recording medium, using at least one write electrode which rests against the recording medium and to which electrical pulses from an electrical storage device are fed in order to burn out raster points from the electrosensitive covering of the recording carrier, characterised in that before each pulse is delivered the electrical energy appropriate for the particular pulse is regulated as a function of the desired surface of the corresponding raster point, and is stored.
