Process for manufacturing of a matrix for an exhaust gas catalyser
Abstract
Abstract 1. A process for the production of a carrier matrix for an exhaust gas catalyst which matrix is formed from steel plates which are resistant to high temperatures, wherein the steel plates are formed as smooth and corrugated plates and are alternately arranged in layers and wherein before the steel plates are alternately arranged in layers, at least one of the smooth and the corrugated steel plates is in each case wholly or partially provided with a solder coating, characterised in that the parts of the steel plates which are to be provided with the solder coating are first coated with a contact adhesive which evaporates without any residue at soldering temperature and on to the surface of which a mono-particulate layer of dry solder powder of a small and specific grain size is applied after drying ; and that the steel plates are subsequently wound and soldered to one another.
