Abstract

Abstract A filter membrane (16) housed in a casing (10) is a microporous membrane manufactured by the phase separation method an having a pore size of 0.1 to 0.8 µ, preferably 0.2 to 0.6 µ, and thickness of 100 to 300 µ. At least one membrane unit (11) consisting of such a membrane covering a core material (17) is arranged inside the casing to define a blood channel (12) of 50 to 150 µ channel thickness.
