Abstract Translated from German Damit ein optischer Stern-Koppler für Multimode-Lichtleitfasern, bei dem zwei Bündel von Elementfasern (3) über ein planares Wellenleiter-Mischerelement (2) miteinander verbunden sind, wobei die Dicke des planaren Wellenleiter-Mischerelements (2) etwa gleich dem Elementfaserdurchmesser ist, und wobei der Gesamtdurchmesser der Element- fasern (3) etwa gleich dem Kerndurchmesser der mit dem Stern-Koppler zu verbindenden System-Fasern (4) ist, geringe Verluste und gute Leistungsgleichverteilung auch bei Gradientenprofil-System-Fasern (4) aufweist, werden als Elementfasern (3) entweder Gradientenfasern oder Stufenprofilfasern mit möglichst dünnen Mänteln verwendet.
