Les blocs sont maintenus en position les uns par rapport aux autres par une couverture flexible amovible a ajustement serre (3). Les caracteristiques de durete du matelas peuvent etre modifiees pour s'adapter aux differentes conditions des patients en selectionnant les blocs (1) d'une gamme etendue de durete et en les disposant suivant une configuration predeterminee pour obtenir la distribution de durete requise.
