Claim 1
Independent Claim
154 words
A magnetic recording tape cartridge comprising a cartridge case having a tape chamber for accommodation of a pair of tape reels for winding a magnetic recording tape, a pair of recessed portions defined in the front side of the cartridge case for receiving a pair of tape extracting shafts of a tape player, a front wall and a pair of openings defined in the front wall for extracting the recording tape outside the cartridge case with the intermediate portion of the tape stretched along the front wall when the cartridge is not used, at least one flange member projected outwardly from the bottom portion of the front wall perpendicular to and along the front wall and at least one supporting member projected from the top face of the flange member for partially supporting the bottom edge of the recording tape so as to prevent displacement of the intermediate portion of the recording tape downwardly.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
39 words
A magnetic recording tape cartridge according to Claim 1, wherein said at least one supporting member is formed on the flange member located between the pair of openings for insertion of the tape extracting member of a tape player.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
29 words
A magnetic recording tape cartridge according to Claim 1, wherein said at least one supporting member is formed on the flange member extending generally perpendicular to the front wall.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
34 words
A magnetic recording tape cartridge according to Claim 1, wherein further comprises a recess formed in the bottom face of the flange member corresponding to said at least one supporting member extending along thereof.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
38 words
A magnetic recording tape cartridge according to Claim 4, wherein said recess can serve as a recess for receiving a member provided in a tape player for preventing erroneous insertion of the cartridge case to the tape player.
