Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a safety device for a geared transmission. A drive shaft (2) drives a drum (4) of a winch (5) via a transmission (1) comprising an intermediate shaft (8) mounted to slide against the force of a spring (18) bearing a cylindrical toothed wheel having helical teething which engages with a toothed wheel (14) on the transmission shaft (3). For a torque determined by the tare of the spring (18), the intermediate shaft (8) actuates a device (19) for cutting the supply to the motor. <IMAGE>
