Abstract
Abstract According to the invention, the artificial island consists of two structures made independently of one another, to be precise of a substructure (1) and a supporting structure (3, 4) which are made and assembled separately from one another. Positioning is effected by setting the substructure on the sea bottom and subsequently arranging the supporting structure on top and connecting it to the substructure. The supporting structure contains a so-called self-lifting platform (4) known per se. <IMAGE>
