Abstract

This level detector comprises a tubular body (13; 14) closed at each of its ends (17) and having a flat or slightly concave raceway, a ball (15; 16) adapted to roll on said raceway towards the either of said closed ends of the body as a function of the inclination of the detector on the horizontal and two sensors (18; 19; 20,21) for detecting the presence of the ball (15; 16) respectively at the and either of said ends (17) and emitting a signal in response to said detection. This level detector can be mounted on a gripping device in order to memorize and keep the initial attitude of a load captured by the gripping device during hoisting.
