Ambulatory massage device operated by pressure variations in a fluid admitted to the treated parts of the body
Abstract
Abstract Massage device operated by pressure variations of an ambulatory circulating fluid, from the sole of the foot to the part of the body to be treated, the foot being supported with walking rhythm on a flexible inlet chamber for fluid 4, which chamber is associated with the shoe and which communicates with another chamber constituting the massage instrument per se, towards which chamber and from which chamber the fluid is thus alternately fed and aspirated. This device is noteworthy in that the fluid inlet chamber is formed by a reservoir composed of two independent pockets (4A and 4B), which are placed directly below the arches and which are fed with measured quantities of fluid by two conduits (5A and 5B) situated in the sole 1 of the shoe. These pockets are extended by massage envelopes (6A and 6B) placed directly on the treated leg areas and retained on the latter by the ankle part (2) of the shoe. This device may be used in cases of venous insufficiency in particular. <IMAGE>
