Multifocal spectacle glass with progressive power fields
Abstract
Multifocal spectacle lens with a varifocal surface (1), which has a distant vision (2) - a progression (3) - and a near vision zone (4) and which is determined by a main line of sight (5) in its course through the convergence movement of the eye into a nasal and a temporal area is shared. In the short progression zone (3) there is astigmatism along the main line of sight (5) within the scope of a permissible reduction in visual acuity. Across the entire varifocal area (1), points with the same horizontal distance from the main line of sight (5) and the same height have approximately the same values of astigmatism and setting errors and the distortion on both sides of the main line of sight (5) is selected so that the horizontal and vertical Differences in direction are reduced to acceptable values. The progressive surface (1) designed in this way has no symmetry and represents an asphere in the most general sense; it enables the formation of multifocal spectacle lenses which take into account the sensitivity of the pair of glasses-reinforced eyes (7, 8) to binocularly non-harmonizing visual rays (14, 15) and which therefore allow comfortable binocular vision.
