Claims for the Contracting State : AT A process for the production of chloromethyl-m-aminophenols corresponding to the following general formula see diagramm : EP0039030,P7,F1 in which X and Y represent a chlorine atom or a methyl radical, with the proviso that, when X is a chlorine atom, Y is a methyl radical and, when X is a methyl radical, Y is a chlorine atom, characterized in that corresponding chloromethyl-m-nitrophenols are catalytically hydrogenated in known manner in the presence of Raney nickel.
