Metal chelates of 1,4-bis(substituted-amino)-5,8-dihydroxy-anthraquinones

Claim 2

A chelated compound selected from the group consisting of those of the formula: wherein Q is a divalent moiety selected from the group consisting of those of the formulae: wherein n is an integer from 2 to 4 inclusive; R 1 and R 2 are each individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ), monohydroxyalkyl(C 1 -C 4 ). with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group, dihydroxyalkyl(C 3 -C 6 ),'with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group, formyl, alkanoyl(C 2 -C 4 ), trifluoroacetyl and moieties of the formulae: wherein n is an integer 2 to 4 inclusive, R is alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ) and R 3 and R 4 are each individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ) and monohydroxyalkyl-(C 2 -C 4 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group and the group is morpholino, thiomorpholino, piperazino, 4-methyl--1-piperazino or a moiety of the formula: wherein m is an integer 2 to 6 inclusive; with the proviso that the ratio of the total number of carbon atoms to the sum of the total number of oxygen atoms plus the total number of nitrogen atoms in the side chains at the 1-position and the 4-position does not exceed 4 and with the further proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not both hydrogen or alkyl; (M) is selected from the group platinum, copper, iron, zirconium, cobalt, chromium and zinc; X is chloride, sulfate or nitrate and the pharmacologically acceptable acid-addition salts thereof.

Claim 3

A chelated compound selected from the group consisting of those of the formula: wherein Q is a divalent moiety selected from the group consisting of those of the formulae: wherein n is an integer from 2 to 4 inclusive; R 1 and R 2 are each individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl(C1-C4), monohydroxyalkyl(C 1 -C 4 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group, dihydroxyalkyl(C 3 -C 6 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group, formyl, alkanoyl(C 2 -C 4 ), trifluoroacetyl and moieties of the formulae: wherein n is an integer 2 to 4 inclusive, R is alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ) and R 3 and R 4 are each individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ) and monohydroxyalkyl-(C 2 -C 4 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group and the group is morpholino, thiomorpholino, piperazino, 4-methyl--1-piperazino or a moiety of the formula: wherein m is an integer 2 to 6 inclusive; with the proviso that the ratio of the total number of carbon atoms to the sum of the total number of oxygen atoms plus the total number of nitrogen atoms in the side chains at the 1-position and the 4-position does not exceed 4 and with the further proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not both hydrogen or alkyl; (M) is selected from the group platinum, copper, iron, zirconium, cobalt, chromium and zinc; X is sulfate, chloride, or nitrate the tautomers thereof; and the pharmacologically acceptable acid-addition salts thereof.

Claim 4

A chelated compound selected from the group consisting of those of the formula: wherein Q is a divalent moiety selected from the group consisting of those of the formulae: wherein n is an integer from 2 to 4 inclusive; R 1 and R 2 are each individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl(C1-C4), monohydroxyalkyl(C 1 -C 4 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group, dihydroxyalkyl(C 3 -C 6 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group, formyl, alkanoyl(C 2 -C 4 ), trifluoroacetyl and moieties of the formulae: wherein n is an integer 2 to 4 inclusive, R is alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ) and R 3 and R 4 are each individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl(C 1 -C 4 ) and monohydroxyalkyl-(C 2 -C 4 ), with the proviso that the carbon atom alpha to the nitrogen atom does not bear an hydroxy group and the group is morpholino, thiomorpholino, piperazino, 4-methyl--1-piperazino or a moiety of the formula: wherein m is an integer 2 to 6 inclusive; with the proviso that the ratio of the total number of carbon atoms to the sum of the total number of oxygen atoms plus the total number of nitrogen atoms in the side chains at the 1-position and the 4-position does not exceed 4 and with the further proviso that R 1 and R 2 are not both hydrogen or alkyl; (M) is selected from the group platinum, copper, iron, zirconium, cobalt, chromium and zinc; X is sulfate, chloride, or nitrate the tautomers thereof; and the pharmacologically acceptable acid-addition salts thereof.

Claim 5

The compound according to Claim 1 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino)-ethylamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, tetrachloride, bis(dicyclopentadienyl zirconium chelate).

Claim 6

The compound according to Claim 1 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethylamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, tetrachloride, bis(chromium chloride chelate).

Claim 7

The compound according to Claim 1, 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethylamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, dinitrate, bis(cobalt nitrate chelate).

Claim 8

The compound according to Claim 1 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, dichloride, bis(platinum chloride chelate).

Claim 9

The compound according to Claim 1 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethylamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, dichloride, bis(cuprous chloride chelate).

Claim 10

The compound according to Claim 1 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethyamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, dichloride, bis(ferrous chloride chelate).

Claim 11

The compound according to Claim 1 1,4-bis[2--(2-hydroxyethylamino)ethylamino]-5,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, trisulfate, tris(zinc chelate).
