Electret devices for the measurement of ionizing radiation
Abstract
It is a device for measuring ionizing irradiation comprising, on the one hand, a cassette (C) containing an electret (2) between two electrodes (3 and 4) and, on the other hand, a fixed reader ( A) suitable for receiving the cassette in a pocket (6), for identifying it, for measuring the charge of its electret and for displaying (at 10) information E relating to this charge. This reader (A) further comprises a head (15) capable of recording the information E on a track (14) of the cassette and there are provided readers independent of the reader (A) capable of subsequently receiving the cassette, to be measured the charge of its electret, to read the information E and, by difference between the measured value and that read, to display the radiation dose received by the cassette from the recording.
