Abstract 1. An operating table having a seat support (5) and a seat rest (18) resting on same, on said seat support (5) are arranged two leg supports (12a, b) independent of each other serving for the support of the essentially plate shaped leg rest (19) and individually displaceable from their operating position, characterized in that the seat support (5) is T-shaped whereby one part of the T extends in the longitudinal direction of the operating table as a supporting arm (5a) situated in the central plane of said operating table and with its free end pointing in the foot direction and whereby on said free end of the supporting arm (5a) the leg supports (12a, b) are in a displaceable manner held from their operating position and each leg support (12a, b) has a longitudinal support 12 extending along the inner edge of said leg rest (19).
