Hip joint prosthesis
Abstract
In patients with hypoplastic hip joints, hip prostheses with relatively thin and narrow shaft blades (7) must be used; There is therefore a risk with these prostheses that, due to the torque effect of the force (9) acting on the joint head (11), over-elastic deformations of the shaft blades (7) occur. According to the invention, this danger is countered by the collar-like extension (12) forming the transition between the shaft blade (7) and the prosthesis neck (6) in the direction parallel to the prosthesis neck (6), preferably in the extension of the lower edge (8) of the prosthesis neck ( 6), runs.
