Abstract

Abstract A rotation speed signal detector comprises a cylin- drikal rotor magnet (1) having n rotor magnet poles (1A) provided along the inner circumference and m [m > n] rotation speed detection magnet poles (1 B) provided along the outer circumference; a stator winding (4A); a rotation speed detection coil (5) including a pair of coil conductors (16, 17) provided orr the outer side of the rotor magnet in the form of a ring; and a terminal base (8) having output terminal pins connected to one end portion of the coil conductors and a short circuiting terminal pin for connecting the other ends of the coil conductors. Each conductor may be short-circuited by-a conductor on a winding conductor processing substrate (7) provided separately instead of being short-circuited by the terminal pin.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 275 words
A rotation speed signal detector comprising a cylindrical rotor magnet (1) having an array of n magnetic poles (1A) magnetized on one circumferential surface of said cylinder along the peripheral direction and an array of m (m > n) magnetic poles (lB) magnetized orr the other circumferential, surface of said cylinder along the peripheral direction; a stator (4) fixed opposite to said array of n magnetic poles of said rotor magnet and having a stator winding for giving a rotational force to said rotor magnet; a detection coil (5) provided with coil conductors (16, 17) having winding elements at angular positions corresponding to magnetic pole pitches of m poles of said rotor magnet and connecting in a wavy form said winding elements for detection, the electric phase difference of said coil conductors on the both surfaces of a flexible insulating sheet being made π ; a supporting member (6) for supporting said detection coil in a ring form such that said detection coil lies around said array of m poles of said rotor magnet and such that the peripheral surface of said detection coil is. made opposite to said array of m poles of said rotor magnet with a prescribed gap therebetween; and pin terminal means (8, 20a, 20b, 21, 21a, 21b) having terminal pins connected to one-side pair of the terminal conductor portions of said detection coil to lead out a rotation speed signal of said detection coil, while the other side terminal pair of conductor portions of said detection coil are electrically connected to form a short-circuit whereby the rotation speed signal of said rotor magnet is derived from said pin terminal means.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 275 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 78 words
A rotation speed signal detector according to Claim 1, wherein said pin terminal means comprises terminal pins (21a, 21b) connected separately to terminal pair (16b, 17b) on the other side of said detection coil and said terminal pins are connected to a first conductor of a winding-conductor processing substrate (7) having a second conductor which transmits the output signal from said detection coil to said stator, thereby to form a short-circuit of said coil by said first conductor.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 43 words
A rotation speed signal detector according to Claim l, wherein said pin terminal means comprises a terminal pin (21) which is connected to the other side terminal pair (16b, 17b) of said detection coil and forms a circuit for short-circuiting said terminal pair.
