L'horloge à synchroniser (H) est obtenue à la sortie d'une boucle de verrouillage de phase (1), par division de la fréquence d'une horloge de référence (HR) dans un diviseur de fréquence (4) dont le facteur de division est commandé par un comparateur de phase (6) qui détermine l'écart entre les transitions des deux horloges à synchroniser. Suivant l'invention, les impulsions de l'horloge de référence (HR) sont appliquées à la boucle de verrouillage de phase (1) par l'intermédiaire d'une porte (8), des moyens étant prévus pour bloquer cette porte par la transition caractéristique (TH) de l'horloge à synchroniser qui suit l'apparition d'un signal de commande de resynchronisation (SR), et pour débloquer ensuite cette porte par une transition caractéristique (THa) de l'horloge externe.
