Abstract
Abstract The intermediate layer is used in a bone cavity for the purpose of securing a prosthesis and consists of a bio-inert polymer film which is ductile, while having good resistance to tearing, and is shaped corresponding to the shape of the bone cavity. The film is not permeable to the bone cement and the body fluids and contains, in a quantity of 5 - 40% by weight relative to the weight of the polymer, bio-inert and/or bio-resorbable substances, for example natural bone chips or calcium phosphates.
