Abstract Translated from French Matériau isolant ignifugé pour câble électrique, comprenant une matrice en copolymère de propylène et d'éthylène, en polyéthylène à haute densité ou en polyester thermoplastique, un agent ignifugeant formé par un dérivé cyclique du pentaérythritol, un dérivé aliphatique ou cycloaliphatique, halogéné, stable à la température d'extrusion de la matrice et se décomposant à une température supérieure, et un composé minéral d'antimoine susceptible de réagir avec le brome de l'agent ignifugeant lors d'une combustion. Flame retardant insulating material for electric cable, comprising a matrix of propylene and ethylene copolymer, of high density polyethylene or of thermoplastic polyester, a flame retardant agent formed by a cyclic derivative of pentaerythritol, an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic derivative, stable at the extrusion temperature of the matrix and decomposing at a higher temperature, and an inorganic antimony compound capable of reacting with the bromine of the flame retardant during combustion.
