Abstract
Abstract The catheter comprises a stimulation electrode. To achieve a reliable and simpler positioning of the stimulation electrode and a sensor electrode, the front part of the catheter, at a distance from the tip of the catheter corresponding to the internal diameter of the ventricle and over a length corresponding to the diameter of the atrium, is split up into two or more branches which form an arch directed outwards relative to the axis of the catheter. Fig. 1 shows the essential features of this catheter. <IMAGE>
