Abstract

Abstract The present invention refers to a motor vehicle parking system utilizing three units interretated to each other, namely A) a sign for indicating a parking space. B) a parking meter at the disposal of the vshicle's proprieter and C) a terminal in which information accumulated in the parking meter may be evaluated. Said sign contains an informstion, which, as code, indicates one or more of the following items, i) maximal length of parking time ii) cost per unit of time or per occasion. iii) who is permitted to receive payment for the utilized time or occasion, iv) information about who has specfic permission. Said parking meter has different storage means. each intended to store information belonging to one emitted to receive peyment.

Claim 1
Independent Claim 175 words
Especially for motor vehicles intended parking system utilizing three units interrelated to eachother, namely: a) a sign for the information of parking spaces, b) a parking meter pertaining to, and/or at the disposal of, the vehicle's proprietor, c) a terminal, by which the information accumulated in the parking meter can be evaluated, characterized in that, the sign for information of parking spaces contains information, which is meant to supply one of the following items i) maximal lenght of parking time ii) costs per unit of time or per occasion iii) who is entitled to receive payment for the utilized time or occasion, or iv) information about who has specific permission, that the meter pertaining to and/or at the disposal of the vehicle owner is built with an instrument that enables it to receive sign's pertaining information, and evalutate it and differentiating between the represented items on the sign, as well as collect information gathered during the parking period, while a terminal is arranged for the processing, evaluating, and differentiating the information stored in each meter.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 175 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 63 words
A parking system according to claim 1, characterized in that, the information is made up by a number of ciphers, where each cipher or cipcher group gives in code language the maximal cost per time unit for parking occasion, as well as. other ciphers give information as to who is or are entitled to payment for the utilization of the parking or occasion.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 59 words
A parking system according to claim 1, characterized in that the meter pertaining to, and/or at the disposal of, the vehicle' s proprietor, contains a digit, on which the sign's information is entered, a cipher indicator, which displays the sign's information, as well as a debit indicator, which displays that the meter is functioning according to the sign's information.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 77 words
A parking system according to claim 3, characterized in that, the meter contains a main memory in which a number of information segments (bits) is registered, and that said information segments represent a determined advanced payment, as well as one or more accounting memories to which information segments are transferred from the main memory, in subordination with the sign's information, which activate a built in electronic timer, as well as a microprocessor, or the equivalent electronic cicruit.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 41 words
A parking system according to claim 3, characterized in that the meter contains a memory to which information segments have been transferred during the parking in subordination with the sign's information, and that these information segments are readable from the memory.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 33 words
A parking system according to claim 4, characterized in that, an index on the meter can be activated when the information segments stored in the main memory decrease under a value previously established.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 57 words
A parking system according to claim 1, utilizing a meter according to claim 3-5, characterized in that, the terminal is constructed to evaluate bit transferring in the meter, the contents of the accounting memory as well as to empty these on information and separate the information from one accounting memory, from the information of another accounting memory.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 31 words
A parking system according to claim 7, characterized in that the terminal is constructed to transfer to the main memory a number of information segments, representing a determined advanced payment amount.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 48 words
A parking system according to claim 1, utilizing a meter according to claim 6, characterized in that, the terminal is constructed to evaluate the content of the meter, the contents of the memory, and separate the information of a parking occasion, from the information of another parking occasion.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 18 words
A parking system according to claim 9, characterized in that the information is divided among different payment receivers.
