Computed-tomography scanner for irradiation through a body
Abstract
The invention relates to a computer tomograph, in which the tomography processor (FIG. 2) contains a corrector (112) for correcting the output signals of the detector (14). A first memory (120) for storing the corrected data of a projection is connected downstream of the corrector (112). This is followed by a folding computer (114) for folding the corrected data of a projection. This is followed by a second memory (122) for the folded data points, which controls an image memory (118) for the storage of data representative of the density of the body in the cross-sectional plane. There is also a reconstructor (116) which causes the folded data points of a projection to be projected back by a corresponding assignment for each location in the image memory (118) by adding them to the value in this location in the image memory (118) after appropriate weighting (Fig. 2).
