Polyolefine masses containing alkaline-earth metal carbonates, and a process for their production

Abstract

Abstract Translated from German Bei mit Erdalkalicarbonaten gefüllten Polyolefinen wird eine sehr gute Verträglichkeit zwischen dem hydrophilen Füllstoff und der hydrophoben Polymermatrix erreicht, wenn als Haftvermittler bestimmte phosphororganische Verbindungen verwendet werden. Man erhält verbesserte mechanische Eigenschaften bei den aus derartigen Polyolefinformmassen hergestellten Kunststoffgegenstaänden. In the case of polyolefins filled with alkaline earth carbonates, very good compatibility between the hydrophilic filler and the hydrophobic polymer matrix is achieved if certain organophosphorus compounds are used as adhesion promoters. Improved mechanical properties are obtained in the plastic articles produced from such polyolefin molding compositions.
