Abstract In a connecting device for water taps (2), comprising a connecting piece (1) which is arranged in or on the building wall (5) and to which the water supply pipes (11) can be connected and the tap (2) protruding from the building wall (5) fastened, it is proposed, to improve the wall covering for the connecting device, that the tap has an approximately cylindrical housing part on which can be fastened a diametrically divided holder (4) constructed as a pipe clamp, to which a rosette (3) for covering and sealing the connecting piece in the building wall can be fixed. <IMAGE>
