Power-driven screwing tool
Abstract
Abstract A power-driven screwing tool has a casing (1), a drive motor inside the casing and a main gearwheel (3) rotated by the drive motor. A spindle (5) is axially movably mounted in the casing and an insert piece (6) is fixed to said spindle. A groove is formed in the rear end of the spindle. Provision is made for a dog-clutch mechanism (7) which is actuated by axial movement of the spindle, so that the rotary movement can be transmitted or interrupted between the main gear wheel and the spindle. The dog-clutch mechanism contains a fixed clutch element (8) on the main gearwheel and a movable clutch element (9) on the spindle at its rear end. Formed in the front end of the movable clutch element is a groove which lies opposite the groove in the spindle. One of the grooves in the spindle or in the movable clutch element is inclined in the axial direction. A clutch member (12) is inserted between the groove in the spindle and the groove in the movable clutch element. Arranged between the main gearwheel and the movable clutch element is a spring (13) which normally pushes the movable clutch element away from the fixed clutch element. <IMAGE>
