Device for selecting objects via a display on a cash register which can be operated by electronic or mechanical push-button selection
Abstract
Abstract Device for selecting objects or the like via a display (3) on a cash register which can be operated by electronic or mechanical push-button selection by a customer. Illumination (14) and a control button (3) are allocated to each object which can be selected. Actuation of the button (3) causes the order which has been activated by the customer to be displayed on the operator's side in the number-of-items space (9) and in the article space (10). When the customer has actuated the "order total" key (6), the automatic locking mechanism (11) on the operator's side is disengaged, allowing sales personnel access to the money compartment. A second option is also available in addition, which permits customers to pay the total sum themselves using cards or cash. This makes embezzlement by sales personnel impossible. <IMAGE>
