Abstract
Abstract In high-performance catheters, fluid and shock waves are to be synergetically employed at the same time via a nozzle head which possesses an axial nozzle at the front and, in addition, can have rear nozzles for advancing. At the rear of the catheter there are required a shock wave generator, a fluid such as sterile physiological saline solution from a pressure vessel. The catheter/probe wall is greatly stressed from the inside, so that the high-performance catheter should be made of a rigid material such as aramide.
