Remotely adjustable head-support device, in particular for rear seats in cars
Abstract
Abstract The remotely adjustable head-support device is designed in particular for rear seats in cars and can be adjusted between a folded-in position of rest which does not impede visibility and a position of use. It has a head-support hoop (20) which bears a support cushion (22) and a drive unit (24) which is to be arranged in a concealed manner and in which the head-support hoop is mounted in a pivot joint (36). In order to permit a precise adjustment of the support cushion in the position of use and to permit motor-driven folding in and back of the head-support, the drive unit has a motor (40) constructed in particular as an electric motor, the motor shaft (42) of which is connected to the head-support hoop via a lever mechanism, a four-bar linkage being constructed with the interconnection of a pair of rockers (44, 48) between the motor shaft and a universal joint (50) of the head-support hoop. In the position of use the two rockers of the pair of rockers are as far as possible in the extended position.
