Aufbringen einer von einer flexiblen Leitung aus Metall gefaßten Isolierung aus temperaturbeständigem Material bei temperaturbelasteten Abgasleitungen von Kraftfahrzeugen gegenüber einem starren Rohr angegeben, mit dem ein auf bzw. in die flexible Leitung aus Metall gebrachter Hohlzylinder des Isoliermaterials mit Hilfe einer Reduzierhülse bzw. eines konischen Dornes unter Verdichtung des Isoliermaterials in bzw. auf das starre Rohr geschoben wird, so daß sich ein formschlüssiger, fester Verbund zwischen Rohr, Isoliermaterial und flexibler, metallischer Leitung ergibt.
