Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a shell-shaped acetabular prosthesis which is made of a plastic, can be anchored cement-free in the pelvic tissue of a hip joint and on the essentially spherical inner side of which the ball-shaped femoral head of the hip joint is to be supported, the outer side of the prosthesis pan facing the pelvic tissue being provided with recesses distributed over its outer circumference, each recess holding one plug made of a material which is at least partially soluble in the implanted state (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
