Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a multi-purpose video-audio unit in a handy pocket format for rationalising work at stationary and mobile work places in a wide variety of technical and commercial areas (disciplines), by flexible, very extensive data storage in image, text, graphics, drawings, statistics on black-and-white or colour microfilms, films, aperture cards and microfiche and manually or automatically calling up individual data at any time. The unit has the facility to allow data to be read on the screen by optical, multiple enlargement, and to allow immediate further use of the viewed data by the built-in all-purpose pocket calculator and/or also by the built-in dictating machine for further information mobility and information processing by writing and other documentation-information processes. At the same time, the invention of the multi-purpose video-audio unit with its fold-out reading lens and its light offers particular reading and viewing advantages when light conditions are inadequate. A film camera, which can be fitted as a module on the rear, further extends the capabilities of the multi-purpose video-audio unit by local recordings. <IMAGE>
