Abstract
Abstract The wall affording protection from noise is erected along traffic routes or at other places where noise is generated. The wall is made up from protective elements joined together. Each element has a carrying frame (1), of height roughly the same as designated wall height. Its core has a sound-absorbent filling (22), and outside cladding units (25,26) on both sides of this, enclosing it at an interval (Z1,Z2). Elements can be directly and detachably joined to each other and to a base provided on site. The frame can be made of metal or plastics, while the filler can be a cohesive mat or panel.
