Heating pipe radiation shield - gives optimum radiation reflection and reduction of connection heat emission

Abstract

Abstract The heating pipe radiation shield is designed to give optimum reflection of radiation, together with reduction of convection heat emission and min. shading. Its mounting can be so designed that the same spring clip accommodates pipes of different dia. The spring clip is designed to give approx. the same clamping force over a wide range of pipe dias. The mounting assembly is of simpler construction than known types. The radiation shield has ribs on bands which engage on holding lugs. The shank of the spring clip subtends a big angle with the horizontal.
