Abstract
Abstract The tool is intended for filing, rasping, sawing or the like partic. of hard materials and/or in places with difficult access or around corners. It comprises a flexible metallic element (12) with a hard granular abrasive coating (10) which is pref. applied with a metallic bonding agent (11). The grain size pref. does not exceed 50 microns. The bonding agent may be an alloy of two or more of the elements Ni,Cr,B,Si. The flexible base (12) may consist of a coiled spring and/or the sheath of a Bowden-type cable. It may alternatively be a wire cable and/or braid, or may be a chain.
