Renal calculus removal probe - is inserted in ureter etc. and connected to pump and pressure gauge
Abstract
Abstract The probe removes foreign bodies from the hollow organs of living creatures, being particularly for kidney or ureter stones. The volume of the organ is increased as far as the position of the body by pumping up, the pressure being then suddenly released, so as to move the body in stages to the outlet. The hollow hydraulic probe (19) is inserted in the urethra (6) or ureter (3) and connected to the pressure pipe (16) from t pump (7). The intake of the latter extends into the vessel (10) containing the fluid, while its discharge is connected, after the pressure valve (15), to the pressure pipe, and by this to a pressure gauge (12) and a stop valve (17).
