Abstract
Abstract A tubular plastic container, produced specially by blow moulding, for pressurised liqs., has five sectors at the bottom which have a convex curvature outward and pass tangentially into the bottle wall of circular cross-section. Five supporting leg sectors between the dished sectors protrude in the shape of flower petals and form five supporting feet. The dished sectors have in the centre of the bottom a radius which changes to a smaller radius of curvature (30%-60%) at the transition to the bottle wall. This bottle combines a good stability with a high resistance to stress-induced cracks.
