Abstract
Abstract The speed control of the vehicle compares the selected speed with the actual speed and derives a correction signal for the throttle setting. Improved control is provided by also monitoring the rate of change of speed and altering the rate of correction. The system is highly sensitive to small changes in speed, on inclines e.g. and provides a smooth cruising speed without sudden changes in motor speed or torque.
